and I shall be glad if an officer can be selected and sent out to

fill it by the lat. September next, that being the date on which

lar. Franklin's resignation takes effect, or as soon thereafter as

possible.

The post of 6th. Grade Apothecary at the

Government Civil Hospital (salary $240 to $420 by 860 annually) is

now vacant, and in the event of your approving the above recomenda. -tions I propose to abolish it, as the Hospital Staff will be strengthened by the appointment of an Apothecary.
